    The Short Version

Disney's 2027 dining plans come in three tiers: Quick-Service, Table-Service (the old "Disney Dining Plan," renamed) and a new Deluxe Table-Service tier. Reported per-night prices for a family of four (two adults, two kids ages 3 to 9) are about $177, $264 and $420. Whether any of them is worth it comes down to one test: would you spend more than that, at menu prices, on food each night anyway?

I'll show you how to run the test in about ten minutes.

The Disney Dining Plan 2027 Tiers and Reported Prices

Disney doesn't publish dining plan prices on a public page, so these numbers come from fan sites that priced a mock booking. Three sites (Disney Tourist Blog, AllEars, MickeyVisit) report the same figures. They're per person, per night, and Disney Tourist Blog says they include tax. Tips are extra.

Plan What you get per person, per night Adult (10+) Child (3 to 9)
    Quick-Service 2 quick-service meals, 1 snack or non-alcoholic drink, 1 refillable mug $62.78 $25.82
    Table-Service 1 table-service meal, 1 quick-service meal, 1 snack or drink, 1 refillable mug $99.87 $31.94
    Deluxe Table-Service (new for 2027) 2 table-service meals, 1 quick-service meal, 1 snack or drink, 1 refillable mug $163.01 $46.85

Children 3 to 9 order from the kids' menu. Under 3 eat from an adult's plate. In 2026, the Table-Service plan was reported at $98.59 for adults and the Quick-Service plan at $60.47, so adult prices rose by about $1.28 and $2.31.

Heads-up on kids' pricing: the sources describe 2027 kids' pricing differently. One says 2026's free-kids promotion ends; another describes "20% off any dining plan for ages 3 to 9 if the rest of the party also buys a plan." I'm using the child prices as reported. Confirm yours in the booking tool.

A note on the Deluxe plan: one report points out it's the only plan that covers three meals a night with two table-service meals, but it doesn't include appetizers, so it's less generous than older deluxe plans.

What That Adds Up To for a Family of Four

Two adults and two kids ages 3 to 9, before tips:

Plan Per night 3 nights 5 nights 7 nights
    Quick-Service $177.20 $531.60 $886.00 $1,240.40
    Table-Service $263.62 $790.86 $1,318.10 $1,845.34
    Deluxe Table-Service $419.72 $1,259.16 $2,098.60 $2,938.04

Two adults and one child: Quick-Service $151.38, Table-Service $231.68, Deluxe $372.87 per night.

The gap matters: moving from Quick-Service to Table-Service costs this family $86.42 more a night, and moving to Deluxe costs another $156.10. You're buying more table-service meals; you need to eat them.

    The Break-Even Test

    Do this before you buy:

    1. Write down every meal for one typical day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, one snack each. Use the restaurants you'd actually pick.
    2. Price each meal at current menu prices for your whole family. Disney's menus are on its restaurant pages, and prices rose in October. (See character meal prices: the average increase was about 6%.)
    3. Add tax. The plan price already includes it.
    4. Compare the day total to the plan's per-night price. If your day costs more than the plan for your party, the plan wins on paper. If it's lower, you'd pay less out of pocket.
    5. Then repeat for a "light" day. If your family skips lunch or splits meals, the plan is paying for food you won't order.

The plan wins when: you plan on table-service dinners, order dessert or an extra drink, and eat a quick-service meal at the parks every day.

Out of pocket wins when: you cook breakfast in your room (a villa kitchen helps here), you split meals, you skip lunch, or you eat mostly at snacks and counters.

    What I'd Check Before Buying

    • Restaurants cost more than one credit. Some experiences, like signature or special dinners, use more than one table-service credit. Check the credit cost of any restaurant you're counting on before you do the math.
    • Booking requirement. Disney sells its dining plans with a Disney resort hotel package. I couldn't confirm whether a stay you rent through a DVC broker qualifies, so ask your broker before counting on the plan.
    • Prices may move. The figures above were reported in April and May. Re-price at booking. The Disney World price increase post covers what already went up.
    • Tips. Not included. Budget separately.

    If You're Skipping the Plan

Most of the savings I see in practice come from the room, not the plan. A villa kitchen covers breakfasts and some snacks, which cuts the quick-service spend the plan is built around. That's one reason I compare a rental's cost against the plan's cost as one number: see cost to rent DVC points and request a DVC Rental Store quote for your dates.
