Disney's Lakeshore Lodge: Rooms, First Prices and Whether to Book on Day One (2026)

Disney's newest resort opens July 1, 2027. Booking opens to everyone Thursday. Here's what's confirmed, the first cash quotes that have surfaced, and what you can't do yet if you rent DVC points.

    The Quick Answer

Disney's Lakeshore Lodge opens July 1, 2027, with 967 rooms on Bay Lake between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. Disney Vacation Club members could book cash stays starting October 6, Annual Passholders October 7, and the general public can book October 8, 2026, online or at 407-934-7639.

The first cash quotes that have surfaced (opening-day, July 1, 2027, taxes and fees included) run from about $494 a night for a Duo Studio to about $961 a night for a Preferred View one-bedroom villa. Disney does not publish rates in advance, so treat these as one data point.

If you rent DVC points: you can't, yet. Disney has said the details for booking Lakeshore Lodge with DVC points will be released later, and neither of the two big rental brokers I check lists it.

My take: book on day one only if you need July 2027 and have a cancellation-friendly plan. Otherwise, watch.

What's Confirmed (And Where It Comes From)

Everything in this table is from the Disney Parks Blog's Lakeshore Lodge update unless noted.

    Detail What's confirmed
    Opening date July 1, 2027
    Rooms 967 across all categories
Location Bay Lake, between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness (the former River Country area, per Undercover Tourist)
Booking DVC members Oct 6 · Annual Passholders Oct 7 · General public Oct 8, 2026
    Phone 407-934-7639 (passholders and public)
Dining Moonglade (table service) · Bay Lake Provisions (quick service) · Paint Out Point Bar & Grill · a lobby bar
Pools Lakeshore Lagoon (zero-entry, with a slide) · Daydream River (lazy river) · Cypress Point leisure pool · Otter Springs play area
Club level The Artist's Nest lounge, with Magic Kingdom fireworks views, for select rooms
Transportation Bus to the theme parks; boat to Magic Kingdom

Worth knowing: DVC Fan and DVCNews both describe it as a Disney Vacation Club resort, but non-members can book cash stays. DVCNews reports there should be "significant availability for cash guests for many years" as villas move into the points pool. That's their analysis, not Disney's statement.

    The Rooms

Disney Food Blog and Undercover Tourist list the same categories and capacities. Sleeping limits are what Disney lists.

    Room Sleeps
    Resort Studio (King / Queen) 2 / 4
    Duo Studio 2
    Deluxe Studio 4
    One-Bedroom Villa 5
    Two-Bedroom Villa 9
    Three-Bedroom Grand Villa 12
    One-Bedroom Lake House (freestanding A-frame) 5
    Two-Bedroom Lake House 8
    Hidden Willow Presidential Suite 6

Two things stand out. First, the Duo Studio is a new idea: it sleeps two, which makes it the entry point. Second, the Lake Houses are freestanding A-frames, which is a type of room Disney hasn't offered at a DVC resort before. (I haven't seen Disney say whether they're the first, so I'm calling this a new-to-me, not a Disney "first.")

If you're a family of five, see my DVC studios that sleep 5 post. Lakeshore's studios top out at four, so your first Lakeshore option is the one-bedroom.

Lakeshore Lodge Room Rates: The First Prices (One Data Point)

DVC Fan called Member Services on October 6, during the member booking window, and reported these opening-day (July 1, 2027) cash quotes, taxes and fees included:

    Room Quoted per night
    Duo Studio, Preferred View $494.44
    Deluxe Studio, Preferred View $628.60
    Resort Studio, Club Access $869.92
    One-Bedroom Villa, Resort View $858.10
    One-Bedroom Villa, Preferred View $961.04
    Two-Bedroom Villa, Preferred View $1,587.10
    Two-Bedroom Lake House $3,621.37

Source: DVC Fan's opening-week pricing report (Oct 6, 2026). They note these are quotes for opening day, not a complete rate list, and that rates vary by room, view and date.

What I'd do with this: a seven-night one-bedroom at the Resort View quote is about $6,007 before you consider that opening week is likely to be the most expensive week the resort ever has. That's my arithmetic on one quote, not a forecast. Disney typically sets rates by season and day of week, so rates for other dates may be lower. Wait for the public booking window and check your exact dates.

Lakeshore Lodge vs. Its Neighbor, Wilderness Lodge

If you're already comparing Disney's lodge-style resorts, you're probably looking at the neighbor too. Wilderness Lodge has two DVC sections; I've compared them in Boulder Ridge vs. Copper Creek. What changes at Lakeshore:

    • Pools: a lazy river and a zero-entry pool with a slide are listed for Lakeshore. I haven't verified how they compare in size with Wilderness Lodge's.
    • Club lounge: The Artist's Nest is listed for Lakeshore. DVCNews says it's the first DVC resort with a concierge lounge in about 20 years.
    • Transportation: boat to Magic Kingdom is listed for both areas of Bay Lake, but I haven't confirmed schedules for Lakeshore.

If You Rent DVC Points: What You Can and Can't Do

This is the part I wanted to be straight about.

    1. You can't rent Lakeshore Lodge yet. DVC members book it with points once Disney opens that window, and Disney says details come later. Renters rent member points, so nothing exists to rent until then.
    2. There's no published rate. David's Vacation Club's cost calculator (checked today) doesn't list Lakeshore Lodge among its resorts, so I can't tell you which tier it will fall in. DVC Rental Store doesn't publish a flat rate for any resort.
    3. When it opens up, the same rules apply. Read what DVC renters don't get and check each broker's cancellation terms before booking a stay that's nine months out.

In the meantime, put your dates in my DVC rental calculator for resorts that are bookable today, or see what's confirmed at DVC Rental Store.

Should You Book on Day One?

    Book Thursday if:

    • You have a fixed July 2027 date (a wedding, a school break, a milestone trip) and want the best choice of room.
    • You want a Lake House or Presidential Suite; there are very few of them.
    • Your booking has free cancellation. Check this on Disney's booking page when you book, not from my summary.

    Wait if:

    • Your dates flex. The first months of any new resort are the most expensive and most crowded.
    • You're price-sensitive. We have one set of quotes and no rate calendar.
    • You wanted to rent points. That option doesn't exist yet.

Honest caveat: I haven't stayed here, and nobody has; it's not built yet. Everything in this post is from announcements and early reporting.
