Planning a DVC rental 2027 stay? The resort you want, the member's booking window and your payment deadlines all matter. Here is the timeline to work through before you request.
The short version
- Rental stays are bookable roughly 11 months out. DVC Rental Store said on Oct 29 and 30 that reservations through September 2027 are open, and that booking at the 7 to 11 month window gives the best chance at popular resorts and room types.
- The earlier you ask, the more choice you have. DVC Rental Store's own planning guide says that for popular resorts and room types, booking as close to 11 months before check-in as possible can improve your chances. Larger resorts such as Old Key West and Saratoga Springs may offer more flexibility later, though nothing is guaranteed.
- The price tier depends on how early you book. David's publishes rates by resort tier, and its two most expensive tiers are for stays secured 7 to 11 months ahead.
- You don't pay everything now. At DVC Rental Store, the published waitlist process uses a $100 deposit, refundable if no reservation is secured, then 25% (minus the deposit) once the reservation is confirmed. The rest is due no later than 75 days before arrival.

How the 11- and 7-month windows work
Disney Vacation Club members can book 11 months before check-in at their home resort, and 7 months before check-in at any DVC resort. The 7-month window is first come, first served, so prime resorts and dates can already be full by then.
What that means for renters. You don't own a home resort, so the 11-month window isn't yours directly. The reservation is made by a DVC Member with their points, and the broker matches your request to one. Availability can change before the member books it. That's why the brokers push early requests: DVC Rental Store says some requests are claimed within hours and harder-to-book stays take longer.

DVC rental 2027: which resorts need the early window
David's live calculator groups resorts into four price tiers and says its two top tiers are secured 7 to 11 months in advance. DVC Rental Store doesn't publish a flat rate; you request a quote.

David's says Regular rates also apply at the Premium resorts when they're secured 0 to 7 months ahead.
The chart does not specify an inside-seven-month rate for Platinum resorts. Confirm that rate in the calculator or with David's before you budget.
Illustration (not a quote): 100 points at $22 is $2,200; at $29 it's $2,900. Point counts depend on the resort, room, view and dates, so use the rental calculator and get a real quote.
Takeaway: if your heart is set on the Polynesian, Beach Club, Grand Floridian or BoardWalk, ask early. If you're flexible, Old Key West and Saratoga Springs are the budget tier and may leave more room later.

Say you want to check in June 20, 2027. Using DVC Rental Store's published terms:

The February 19 Cashback deadline is from DVC Rental Store's September 21 email, not a deadline confirmed on its public cancellation page. Confirm eligibility and the add-by date in your quote.
